The CO2 laser uses an intense infrared beam to remove tissue. The target region absorbs light energy quickly, ablating the soft tissue and simultaneously sealing capillaries, small blood vessels, lymphatic vessels, and nerve endings. For the doctor’s needs, the laser beam’s size and power may be modified as needed, allowing it to be used for incisions, excision of tissue, and ablation procedures.

This is used for the following procedures: soft palate correction, removal of papillomas, warts, skin tags, eyelid tumors, repair entropion, tumor removal, and removal of anal glands.
